Pill type and composition
Dessette is a combined contraceptive for oral use (oral contraceptive – “combined pill”). Each pill contains a small amount of two different female hormones – desogestrel (progesterone) and ethinylestradiol (estrogen). Dessette contains a small amount of hormones and is therefore called a low-dose contraceptive pill. Dessette belongs to one-phase combined oral contraceptives, because each pill in the blister contains the same hormones at the same dose.
What Dessette is used for
Dessette is used for the prevention of pregnancy. It is very unlikely that a patient becomes pregnant during the proper use of the contraceptive pills (on the condition that the patient does not forget to take the pills)
